Contactless deliveries

Modified on Fri, 19 Sep at 1:19 PM

A contactless delivery is a delivery where you place the order in an agreed-upon location and communicate the drop-off to the customer via your device. Customers can request contactless deliveries for their orders as long as they’re not purchasing any age-restricted items such as tobacco or alcohol.

You’ll see the request for contactless delivery as a text message or in your delivery instructions. You may see customers ask for “no-contact", “contactless,” or “leave at my door” deliveries.

Completing a contactless delivery

If a customer requested a contactless delivery, follow these steps to complete the delivery order:

  1. Once you arrive at the destination address, check your Skipcart app for any customer instructions on how to get to the designated drop-off area.
    • Note: If you can’t find the address, you can call or text the customer from the app.
  2. Tap Take Photo of Delivery.
  3. Take a photo of where you left the delivery order and upload it. This is required for all contactless deliveries.
    • You can use the camera feature in the Skipcart app or send a photo to Skipcart’s chat support team after delivery in case you don’t have a strong cell signal.

Do’s and don’ts for taking quality contactless delivery photos

Do make sure the photo includes…

  • The house or apartment door
  • The house or apartment number (when applicable)
  • The order itself
  • Clear indications of the drop-off location

Don’t upload photos…

  • That are blurry
  • Of the order in your vehicle
  • That don’t clearly show the location of the order

Important: Failure to submit photos that meet the requirements for contactless deliveries may lead to the deactivation of your driver account.
