Grocery delivery opportunities will appear in your Skipcart app just like other delivery offers.
Picking up grocery orders
Important: Don’t arrive more than 15 minutes before the delivery window.
- Once you arrive at the store, follow the directions to the Grocery Order Pickup area and park in any reserved spot.
- Tap At Store to let the store know that you’ve arrived.
- In some cases, you may need to call the store to let them know you’ve arrived.
- A store associate will meet you in the parking area, confirm that the order and customer match what you have on your App, and load the car for you.
- If the store associate doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes, call the number on the parking sign to inform the store of your arrival and the name on the order.
Important: Skipcart partners reserve the right to request another Skipcart driver to complete the delivery if they deem that you arrived unprepared to deliver the order to their customer safely or securely. This includes cargo space that contains pets and/or pet hair, garbage/debris, or other consumer goods that may get mixed in with the order.
Delivering grocery orders
When you’re delivering a grocery order, these are some important reminders to keep in mind:
- Make sure to deliver the order within the promised delivery window.
- If you need to communicate with the customer about their order, tell them the name of the store the delivery is coming from (they may not be familiar with Skipcart).
- All grocery deliveries must be taken to the customer’s door and require the customer's signature. Entering a customer’s home is strictly against our delivery protocols.
- If the customer requested a Contactless Delivery, follow the steps provided in the app to ensure correct completion of the delivery. This will prevent any pay discrepancies.
- Customers have the option to provide a tip through the app or give you cash. Note: Skipcart partners don’t require customers to tip for their delivery orders.
Customer unavailable
If the customer isn’t available at the delivery address or by phone, and you’ve waited 5 minutes:
- Select Customer Unavailable in the app. This will create a return for the grocery order.
- Take the order items back to the grocery partner store.
- When you arrive, call the number on the pickup sign and let the partner store associate know you have a returned order.
- A partner store associate must sign to complete the return.
You’ll be paid a return fee.
