Signing up to be a Skipcart driver

Skipcart is a technology app that connects drivers with delivery jobs.

As a driver, you use your own car to pick up and deliver orders around your city. You earn money for each trip you complete.

Signing up to drive with Skipcart is easy. You'll get started by sharing some info about yourself on the Skipcart platform.        

You can sign up at: www.skipcart.com/drivers

What we need from you:             

• Name 
• Valid email address
• Phone number
• State and metro area
• Background check                

You will then receive an email and text message with the next steps.       

Document requirements             

You must pass a background check before you can accept delivery requests using the Skipcart app. At a minimum, a new 

background check report is required annually (in some cities, more frequently).      

Skipcart may also use a proactive notification program that alerts us if there’s a change in your criminal record.                         

In the U.S., background checks are done by Yardstik, Skipcart's third-party background check provider. These checks don’t include a credit check.                   

You must give permission before Skipcart can start a background check. Where permitted, your consent will allow Skipcart to request additional background checks during the term of your relationship with Skipcart. 

Background checks usually take 3-5 business days to complete, but can take longer depending on a number of factors such as county courthouse processes.   

Even if Yardstik tells you the report is ready, Skipcart may require additional time to review the results before making a final decision.      

Driver Requirements     

• Be 21 years of age
• Have a reliable vehicle
• Have a smart phone with at least these versions of software:
  1. iPhone iOS software 9.0 or newer
  2. Android 7.0 or newer
• A valid U.S. Driver's License and auto insurance
• Background check
• Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds safely
• Valid Social Security Number (SSN)

Once all of your information has been processed and you have passed the background check, you can begin driving using the Skipcart app.                   

Can I finish signing up later?

Yes, if you need more time, feel free to return to complete the signup process later. Your profile info and uploaded documents will be saved.

Once you complete signup, you'll be able to go in-app and start accepting deliveries.
