Get started with Skipcart

Skipcart is an on-demand delivery service that connects businesses to a network of drivers. As a driver, you’ll use your own vehicle to pick up deliveries and deliver them to destinations in your area.

This guide will help answer common questions about driving for Skipcart.

Important: As a Skipcart driver, you agree to the Skipcart Terms of Service

Where can I drive with Skipcart?

Skipcart is currently available in most major cities. You’ll have the option to look for your city from the driver sign-up screen.

How do I sign up to drive with Skipcart?

You can sign up to drive with Skipcart directly on the website.

How do I start accepting deliveries?

  1. If you haven’t already, download the Skipcart app from your phone’s app store.
  2. Once logged in, add the bank account where you want your payments deposited.
  3. Tap the blue arrow to go online.
  4. Once online, you’ll see a map with highlighted zones. We recommend driving to a nearby zone to have the highest chance of getting orders.

Understanding zones

  • Highlighted zones are where orders will typically come in.
  • Red zones mean that there’s a potential for more orders in that area.
  • Gray zones mean that the highlighted area isn’t live. We’ll notify you when the area goes live.
  • Hot spots, designated by green dots, are areas within the zones that are most likely to get orders.
  • The Skipcart icon shows orders that need to be picked up quickly.

Note: Being in a zone and online doesn’t guarantee you’ll get orders, as it varies market to market.

When to drive

As an Independent Contractor, you get to choose when and how much (or how little) you’d like to drive. There’s no minimum time commitment required to be a Skipcart driver.

Peak order times tend to be around lunch (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and dinner (4:30 PM to 8:00 PM). Driving during these times can increase your chances of receiving orders.

Resolving issues

If you’re experiencing an issue in the middle of a delivery, communicate with the customer and/or Skipcart partner first to provide transparency, and then contact Skipcart support.
